About the Archives
The Museum’s programme includes strengthening and developing research on the significance of the sketch, within the realm of public art and the creative process. Our collection of sketches and models is accessible to researchers, as well as students and journalists, as are our archives. Today, the archives consist of extensive illustrations and newspaper cuttings with nearly 150 000 articles from the daily newspapers and magazines; a collection of letters which is constantly increasing since the onset of the Museum in the 1930´s to the present, and an archive of photographs and slides. Here one finds a wealth of material related to public art – specific decorations, artists, debaters, and competitions, including the Museum’s own curriculum and the exhibitions over the years.
